The HW-XC509 stands out as the latest offering in dual-plate microwave induction modules from our company. With its sleek design, compact circuit structure, stable performance, and cost-effectiveness, this module is a top choice for integration into a wide range of applications. It is particularly well-suited for use in intelligent appliances, security devices, lighting solutions, and various other electronic systems. Its versatility extends to applications in security monitoring, intelligent control systems, and lighting installations in areas such as garages, corridors, and roads.
Operating on the Doppler effect principle, the HW-XC509 module utilizes a planar antenna for the transmission and reception of high-frequency electromagnetic waves. By detecting subtle changes in the reflected wave, the microprocessor is triggered to generate a 5V high-power ping signal from the OUT terminal.
Features a professional 5.8G fixed frequency flat horn antenna design for efficient signal transmission and reception.
Offers wide coverage, high consistency, low power consumption, and compliance with ROHS environmental standards.
Boasts strong anti-interference capabilities, remaining unaffected by environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, airflow, dust, noise, brightness, and darkness.
Default Repeatable Triggering: The module's delay time is extended if triggered again within the initial trigger period, resulting in a continuous output signal upon continuous triggering.
Non-Repeated Triggering Scenario: In this mode, the module triggers once, and subsequent triggers do not extend the time. Each trigger within the set time is considered invalid, maintaining a consistent output duration.

Schematic diagram of product detection wiring and CAD drawings
As shown in the figure, VCC can supply DC12V, JP is XC509 output port, 2: middle output high level signal 3.3V, when pin 2 outputs high level, Q1-NPN tube 8050 is turned on, VCC will supply power to LED, this When the LED is on, it indicates that the module has signal output. When pin 2 has no signal output, the output end is in no signal state 0V. If you need to test the performance of this product, you can connect the wiring according to the above figure separately. Later, the signal can be used to trigger: trigger circuit-MOS tube-thyristor-relay-MCU and so on.

Angle and Radiation
As shown in the figure: The reference picture is obtained by the measuring instrument. The actual sensing area is based on the angle range of 100 square meters indoors. Due to the close relationship between Doppler radar microwave and space, the actual application needs to define the detection range and angle according to the application environment (the smaller the microwave detection range space, the higher the sensitivity, and the greater the space, the sensitivity is relatively attenuated). This picture is used as an official guide reference, and the actual application needs to be tested according to the usage environment.
Product physical map:
1. TIME defaults to 2 seconds and cannot be customized. If you need to change it, please contact our technical staff.
2. The SENS potentiometer rotates clockwise, the shorter the distance, the counterclockwise, the longer the sensing distance. (SENS potentiometer rotates clockwise, the sensitivity decreases, and counterclockwise, the sensitivity increases.)
3. If no potentiometer is needed, please contact our company's technical staff, there is a reserved patch resistance adjustment method in the circuit position.
Matters needing attention:
●About product installation process requirements
During product installation testing and actual assembly, please ensure that the antenna plate (S-shaped opening PCB) of the module product is at least 10mm apart in front of it, and must not be close to or touching the plane of any object, otherwise the product will not work properly .
Power Supply Recommendations:
To ensure the stability of the HW-XC509 module, it is recommended to use a qualified DC stabilized power supply that meets the standards for output voltage, current, and ripple coefficient. Failure to do so may result in issues such as false alarms, lack of induction, or cyclic self-starting.
Preventing False Positives:
Verify that the power supply meets the necessary qualifications as mentioned above.
During testing, ensure there are no moving objects within the sensing range of the product being tested.
Allow for approximately 10 seconds of initialization time after powering on to prevent abnormal induction triggering false alarms based on TIME.
Maintain a static environment during indoor testing to enhance sensitivity. Complete the first induction signal cycle before conducting subsequent tests. During outdoor testing, monitor surrounding dynamics such as flying birds, pedestrians, and vehicles.
The module's weak signal current output can lead to false alarms when directly driving a load. Refer to the product's application diagram for proper connection guidelines.
Adjusting Operational Parameters:
The default working delay of the module is set at 2 seconds.
Sensing Distance Adjustment:
Utilize the [distance] 3326VR resistor SENS located on the back of the module to adjust the sensing distance. Contact relevant staff if VR adjustment is not required.
Product Shell Assembly Guidelines:
The metal shell of the HW-XC509 module provides resistance to microwaves and infrared rays, making it unsuitable for installation within a metal enclosure. Opt for materials such as plastics, ceramics, and wood for better penetration effects. Refer to testing guidelines for further details.
Managing Mutual Resonance:
To prevent mutual resonance interference within the effective induction range, avoid installing two or more modules facing each other. Contact our staff for assistance if needed to optimize performance.
