Working Mechanism:The HW-MS03 microwave induction module functions by employing a plane antenna to transmit and receive high-frequency electromagnetic waves based on the Doppler effect principle. It detects slight movements in the reflected wave, prompting the microprocessor to activate and send a ping signal.
Antenna Design:The HW-MS03 module is equipped with a specialized plane micro-band antenna design that efficiently transmits and receives signals across a wide coverage area. It offers high consistency, low power consumption, complies with ROHS environmental standards, and possesses strong anti-interference capabilities. The module remains unaffected by external factors such as temperature, humidity, air flow, dust, noise, brightness, and darkness. While optimal performance is observed indoors, slight reductions in sensitivity distance may occur when used outdoors due to environmental influences. This variation is considered normal and does not impact the module's functionality.
Default Repeated Triggering:In this mode, subsequent triggers within the delay time will extend the delay period. For instance, if the module has a 2-second trigger time and is triggered again within that period, the delay time will be extended by an additional 2 seconds. Continuous triggering will result in a continuous output signal.
Non-Repeated Triggering:Alternatively, in the non-repeated triggering mode, the module triggers once, and the time is not extended upon subsequent triggers. For example, if the trigger time is set to 2 seconds, a single trigger will yield a 2-second output. Additional triggers within the 2-second window are considered invalid, and the time does not accumulate, maintaining the output duration at 2 seconds.

As shown in the figure, VCC power supply+can supply DC-3.7V-24V, JP is the MS03 output port, and 2 outputs a high-level signal in the middle. When pin 2 outputs a high-level signal, NPN tube 8050 conducts, and VCC will supply power to the LED. At this time, the LED is on, indicating that the module has a signal output. When there is no signal output from pin 2, the output terminal is in a no signal state of 0V. If you need to test the performance of this product, you can wire it separately according to the above diagram. In the later stage, this signal can be used to trigger: trigger circuit MOS transistor thyristor relay MCU, etc.
Angles and Radiation Patterns
As shown in the figure: The reference map is derived from the measuring instrument. The actual sensing area is in accordance with the indoor 100 square meter angle range. Due to the close relationship between Doppler radar microwave and space, the practical application needs to define the detection range and angle according to the application environment (the smaller the microwave detection range space is, the higher the sensitivity is, and the larger the space is, the higher the sensitivity is attenuation). This figure serves as an official guideline for reference. Practical applications need to be checked according to the use environment.

●About the installation process requirements of the product
When installing and testing the product and actual assembly, please be sure to keep at least 10mm in front of the antenna board (S-shaped hole PCB) of the module product. Never touch or touch the plane of any object, or the product will not work properly. !
● About power
It is recommended to use a qualified DC power supply, that is, the output voltage, current and ripple coefficient are all up to the standard DC power supply, otherwise it will affect the stability of the product, there may be some abnormalities, such as: false positives, no induction , Cycle from Kai, etc.
● About false positives
1, to ensure the power of the eligibility, please refer to the above first item;
2. When testing, ensure that there is no moving object (in the sensing range) around the product to be tested.
3、After power on, there will be about 30s initialization time. During this period, it belongs to non-normal induction, which may cause false positives;
4, when the indoor test, the induction is relatively sensitive, the surrounding needs to remain static, and to ensure that the first induction signal cycle is completed after the next test; outdoor test, be sure to pay attention to the dynamic environment of the surrounding environment, such as birds, Pedestrians, traffic, etc.
5. The signal current output by this module is very weak. When the load is directly driven, it may cause false alarms. Please be sure to refer to the application diagram of this product.
● Adjustment of work delay
A [time] resistor is soldered on the back of the module to change the delay time. The larger the resistance, the longer the delay.
● Adjustment of sensing distance
There is a [distance] resistor on the back of the module to change the sensing distance. The larger the resistance, the greater the distance. Adjustable range is 150K-2M.
Note: If the resistance value is greater than 2MΩ, it will make the circuit unstable! Customers are advised not to change this resistor by themselves. If necessary, please contact our relevant staff.
● The shell assembly of this product
The metal shell is not easily penetrated by microwaves and infrared rays, so this product should be avoided from being used in a metal shell. However, barriers such as plastics, ceramics and woody soils have better penetration effects. Specific circumstances, please take the test as the standard.
● The product's mutual harmonicity
This product has a certain degree of mutual resonance interference, so within the effective sensing range, try to avoid installing two or more modules face to face, otherwise it may affect your use of results. When necessary, please be sure to contact our relevant staff.
