Attention
1. The pyroelectric infrared sensor should be installed 2.0-2.2 meters above the ground. Keep it away from areas with sensitive air temperature changes, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, or stoves.
2. There should be no partitions, furniture, large potted plants, or other obstructions within the detection range.
3. The pyroelectric infrared sensor should not face windows directly, as outdoor thermal airflow and movement outside may cause false alarms. If possible, close the curtains. Additionally, avoid installing the sensor in areas with strong airflow.
4. The sensitivity of the pyroelectric infrared sensor to human movement is highly dependent on the direction of motion. The sensor is least sensitive to radial movement but most sensitive to tangential movement (perpendicular to the radius). Selecting an appropriate installation location on-site is crucial to avoid false alarms and achieve optimal detection sensitivity.

Precautions
HW-KASHEF-2 is a pyroelectric infrared sensor module that detects changes in infrared radiation. Please note that it may not detect heat sources other than human bodies, or in situations where there is no heat source, temperature change, or movement. The following general considerations should be noted. It is essential to verify the performance and reliability through actual usage conditions.
1. When detecting heat sources other than human bodies:
(1) When small animals enter the detection range
(2) When far-infrared rays from sunlight, car headlights, or incandescent lamps directly hit the sensor
(3) When the temperature in the detection range changes drastically due to warm/cold air from HVAC equipment or steam from humidifiers
2. Difficulties in detecting heat sources:
(1) When materials that impede far-infrared transmission, such as glass or acrylic, are present between the sensor and the detection object
(2) When the heat source in the detection range is nearly stationary or moving at high speed
3. Expansion of detection area:
When there is a significant temperature difference between ambient temperature and human body temperature (approximately 20°C or more), the detection area may expand beyond the specified range.
4. Other usage considerations:
(1) Note that detection performance may be affected if the window becomes dirty.
(2) The lens is made of delicate material (polyethylene). Avoid applying weight or impact to the lens as deformation or damage may cause malfunction or performance degradation.
(3) Electrostatic discharge exceeding ±200V may cause damage. Handle with care and avoid direct contact with terminals.
(4) For soldering wires: When hand soldering, keep the soldering iron temperature below 350°C and complete within 3 seconds. Avoid wave soldering as it may degrade performance.
(5) Do not clean the sensor. Ingress of cleaning fluid into the lens may cause performance degradation.
